The first smartphone separate Honor – Honor V40 – appeared in the popular Geekbench 5 benchmark. It scored 468 points in the single-core test and 2061 points in the multi-core test.

The single core performance is as comparable to phones as it is Samsung Galaxy S9 or Google Pixel 3 XL, while multi-core performance is similar to for example Samsung Galaxy Notes 10 5G (in the version with Exynos 9825 chipset) or Xiaomi Black Shark 2.

The benchmark indirectly confirmed that the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset and that it will have 8 GB of RAM and will be based on software Androidin 10

According to unofficial information so far, the smartphone of the upper middle class will also receive a curved OLED display with a diagonal of 6,72 inches, support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a double punch, 128 or 256 GB of internal memory, a quad camera with a resolution of 64 or 50, 8 and twice 2 MPx, a front camera with a resolution of 32 and 16 MPx, a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh, support for fast charging with a power of 66 W and wireless with a power of 45 or 50 W, as well as support for the 5G network.

Honor should – together with the Honor V40 Pro and Pro+ variants – launch it on January 18. At the moment, its price is unknown, nor if it will be available outside of China.
