As you know from our previous news, Samsung is apparently preparing a smart locator Galaxy SmartTag, inspired by some models of the popular smart pendants of the brand Tile. Now the news has leaked into the air that the locator will have a more powerful variant with a name Galaxy SmartTag+.

While it's not clear at this point what extra features the "plus" version should offer, it's certain that it will be able to connect to smartphones as standard Galaxy and "stick" to items the user wants to track.

Galaxy According to unofficial information so far, the SmartTag should be equipped with Bluetooth 5.1 (LE) technology, end-to-end encryption, the Privacy ID function for increased security, compatibility with the recently launched Samsung SmartThings Find function, dimensions of approximately 4x4 cm, and it should be powered by one 3V button battery. It will be available in black, light brown, blue and menthol colors.

Samsung should introduce both pendants together with the smartphones of the next flagship series Galaxy S21 (and also new wireless headphones Galaxy Buds pro) already this Thursday. Their price will reportedly start at 15 euros (roughly 400 crowns) and should be offered as a pre-order bonus in most markets Galaxy S21.
