Samsung unveiled the new JetBot 2021 AI+ robotic vacuum cleaner at CES 90. It is compatible with the Samsung SmartThings application and thus allows the user to access its integrated camera, which can be used as a kind of security camera - for watching over the home and animals.

The JetBot 90 AI+ is equipped with advanced technologies, including a LiDAR sensor (also used by autonomous cars, for example) to efficiently map the route to be cleaned, artificial intelligence-powered obstacle detection technology and the ability to empty its own dust container without assistance. According to Samsung, the vacuum cleaner's 3D sensor can detect small objects on the floor to avoid fragile items and anything that is "considered dangerous and could cause secondary contamination."

The SmartThings app also allows you to schedule cleaning "shifts" and set "no-go zones" so that the "robovac" avoids certain areas while vacuuming. These are nevertheless u top robotic vacuum cleaners pretty standard function.

JetBot 90 AI+ not only removes dust from the ground, but also from the air. This function, in conjunction with the aforementioned ability to automatically empty the dust container, could significantly ease the life of allergy sufferers.

Samsung plans to launch the vacuum cleaner in the US market in the first half of this year. He hasn't revealed how much it will cost yet, but expect a premium price tag.
