Samsung continues to roll out its January security patch quickly - its next device to target is Galaxy S10 Lite (more precisely, its international variant).

The update with the latest security patch carries firmware version G770FXXS3DTL2 and is expected to not bring any new features or improvements to the existing ones (this may be for a future update for the next flagship phones Galaxy S21).

The new update is currently being released in about a dozen countries around the world and should be extended to other markets in the coming days. You can check its availability in the familiar way - by opening the menu Settings, by selecting the option Software update and tapping the option Download and install.

The January patch otherwise fixes several old and new bugs, none of which were critical according to Samsung. For example, it resolved a memory corruption vulnerability that exploited the unprotected library protocol that existed since Androidin 8.0, or a stack overflow vulnerability over three years old. In addition, it fixed the problem of the fingerprint reader not working on the models of the series Galaxy Notes 20, if the user was using a certain type of screen protector.

The new patch has already been received, for example, by the phones of the series Galaxy S9, S10 a S20, Note 20 or smartphones Galaxy S20FE, Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy A50.
