Samsung started on the smartphone Galaxy S20FE release the fourth update in a row, which is supposed to improve the stability of its touchscreen. The update includes the January security patch.

The update carries firmware version G81BXXU1BUA5 and is around 263 MB. In addition to improved touchscreen stability, the release notes mention increased device and performance stability and unspecified bug fixes. Dozens of countries across Europe are currently receiving it.

As you may recall, shortly after release Galaxy S20 FE, that is, in October of last year, complaints about the functioning of its touchscreen began to appear on various forums. In particular, according to some users, the screen did not always correctly register the touch, which resulted in the creation of so-called ghosts, and it was also supposed to have problems with multi-touch control. In addition, some have also complained about choppy interface animations.

By the end of October, Samsung released a total of three updates that were supposed to fix these and other problems, but this did not happen - some users continued to struggle with them (perhaps not to such an extent). So we can only hope that the fourth update "on this topic" will be the last. As always, you can check the availability of a new update by opening the menu Settings, by selecting the option Software update and tapping the option Download and install.
