Honor has confirmed that its Honor V40 smartphone, the first after the company became independent, will get a 50MPx main camera. According to a teaser video posted by him on the Chinese social network Weibo, it should excel at taking pictures in low light conditions.

The photo module will also include an 8MP camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP sensor with laser focus and a 2MP macro camera.

According to unofficial information and official press renders so far, the Honor V40 will feature a curved OLED display with a diagonal of 6,72 inches, a resolution of FHD+ (1236 x 2676 px), support for a refresh rate of 90 or 120 Hz and a double punch, MediaTek's current flagship chipset Dimensity 1000+, 8 GB of operating memory, 128 or 256 GB of internal memory, a fingerprint reader built into the display, a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 66 W and wireless with a power of 45 or 50 W. In terms of software, it should run on Androidu 10 and Magic UI 4.0 user interface and support 5G network.

The phone will be launched today, along with the more powerful Honor V40 Pro and Pro+ versions. It is not known at this time how much it will cost or if it will be sold outside of China.
