Honor launched its first smartphone since breaking away from Huawei – Honor V40 5G. It will offer, among other things, a curved display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 50 MPx main camera or fast charging with a power of 66 W.

The Honor V40 5G got a curved OLED screen with a diagonal of 6,72 inches, a resolution of 1236 x 2676 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a double punch. It is powered by the Dimensity 1000+ chipset, which complements 8 GB of operating memory and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory.

The camera is triple with a resolution of 50, 8 and 2 MPx, while the main one has pixel binning 4-in-1 technology for better images especially in poor lighting, the second one has an ultra-wide-angle lens and the last one serves as a macro camera.

The smartphone is software-based Android10 and the user interface Magic UI 4.0, the battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 66 W and wireless with a power of 50 W. According to the manufacturer, using wired charging, the phone charges from zero to 100% in 35 minutes, using wireless from zero to 50% in the same time.

The novelty is available in black, silver (with a gradient transition) and rose gold. The version with the 8/128 GB configuration will cost 3 yuan (roughly CZK 599), the 12/8 GB variant will cost 256 yuan (approximately CZK 3). It is not clear at this time if it will reach other markets from China.
