As you know from our previous news, Samsung is working with AMD on a new generation of Exynos chipsets with the latter's graphics chip. We are the last time informed, that "next-gen" Exynos could be on the scene earlier than expected, and now reports have hit the airwaves from Korean media claiming to have obtained the first benchmark results of one of them. It follows from them that the unspecified Exynos of the next generation literally beat Apple's flagship chip A3 Bionic in the area of 14D graphics.

The performance of the new Exynos was specifically measured in the GFXBench benchmark. The results are as follows: tested iPhone The 12 Pro scored 3.1 FPS in the Manhattan 120 test, 79,9 FPS in the Aztec Ruins test (normal settings), and 30 FPS in the Aztec Ruins test on high detail settings, while the unnamed Exynos scored 181,8, 138,25, and 58 FPS. On average, the Samsung and AMD chipsets were more than 40% faster.

However, it should be noted at this point that the Korean media source did not share an image to support these numbers, so the results should be taken with a grain of salt. In any case, they indicate that the improvement over previous generations of Exynos in terms of graphics could be big. At the moment, however, we will not draw premature conclusions and prefer to wait for further benchmarks that will confirm or disprove such a performance increase. We must not forget that the next Exynos will compete with Apple's new A15 Bionic chip (it is an unofficial name).
