The Exynos 990 chipset that was used in Samsung's flagship phones Galaxy S20, faced criticism last year for poor performance under long-term load. The technological giant promised that the new Exynos 2100 chip will offer higher and much more stable performance compared to it. Now a comparison of these chipsets in the popular game Call of Duty: Mobile has appeared on YouTube. The Exynos 2100 predictably emerged as the winner of the test, but what is important is that its performance was far more consistent, with lower power consumption and temperatures.

The aim of the test was to find out how the Exynos 2100 performs in comparison to its predecessor in long-term load. Youtuber played the game on Galaxy S21Ultra a Galaxy S20+, and at very high detail. Result? The Exynos 2100 achieved an average of 10% higher frame rates than the Exynos 990. This may not seem like a big victory, but it is important to note that the new Exynos performed much more consistently - the difference between the minimum and maximum frame rates was only 11 FPS.

The Exynos 2100 also consumed less power than the Exynos 990 in the test, which means the newer chip has more stable performance, higher power efficiency and lower temperatures. So it looks like Samsung fulfilled the promise of higher and above all more stable performance of the new flagship chip. In any case, it will still be necessary for the Exynos 2100 to confirm the promising improvement in other games as well.
