Samsung, or rather its key division Samsung Electronics, has returned to the list of the 50 most admired companies in the world, which is traditionally announced by the American economic magazine Fortune, after an absence of several years. Specifically, the 49th place belongs to the South Korean technology giant.

Samsung earned a total score of 7,56 points, which corresponds to the 49th position. Last year, he scored 0,6 points less. The company was recognized as the best in several areas, such as Innovation, Quality of Management, Quality of Products and Services or Global Competitiveness. In other areas, such as Social Responsibility, People Management or Financial Health, she was second in order.

For the first time, Samsung appeared in the prestigious ranking in 2005, when it was placed in the 39th position. He gradually rose higher, until nine years later he achieved his best result so far - 21st place. However, since 2017, it has been absent from the rankings due to various reasons, the main ones being legal disputes regarding Samsung's heir Lee Jae-yong and a failed smartphone launch Galaxy The Note 7 (yes, it's the one infamous for exploding batteries).

For the sake of completeness, let's add that he took first place Apple, Amazon was second, Microsoft was third, Walt Disney was fourth, Starbucks was fifth, and the top ten also consisted of Berkshire Hathaway, Alphabet (which includes Google), JPMorgan Chase, Netflix and Costco Wholesale. The vast majority of companies on the list come from the USA.
