Microsoft's OneDrive cloud storage is a popular alternative to the equally functioning Google Drive service as well as more expensive solutions such as Dropbox. The software giant often releases updates for the app with new features or user interface improvements. His latest androidThis update brings a redesigned home screen and support for playing 8K videos and Samsung Motion Photos.

Within the personal account, a Memories section has been newly added to the home screen, which displays a gallery of photos taken by the user "on this day". Under it (the section is located at the top of the screen) he will find lists of recent and for offline use downloaded files - so he has at hand documents that he is likely to work with. If a user is using a work or school account, they won't see the Memories section - instead they'll see a shared library, which makes sense as they're less likely to store private photos on a personal account. The file browser is still accessible via the Files tab at the bottom of the screen.

In addition, OneDrive can now play 8K videos and Samsung Motion Photos (this photo feature captures a few seconds of video before the user presses the shutter to take a photo). This means that the user does not need to download these files locally to play them in all their glory. If you want to share your Samsung Motion Photos with other people, the web version of the app can now play them, so people who don't have a Samsung phone can conveniently view them. However, this only works within a personal account.

You can download the application in the latest version from here.
