For some time now, speculations have been circulating on the Internet that the development studio Zynga is secretly working on a new game from the Star Wars universe. This time they were based on reliable sources, because on Thursday there really was a revelation of a new project from the legendary world of the Jedi Knights. However, they will probably only have a minimal, if any, role in the game. The newly announced Star Wars: Hunters will focus on galactic renegades, mercenary hunters, such as Boba Fett or the protagonist of the successful Mandalorian series. So far, the novelty has only been presented in a demo, which raises more questions than answers.

In the video, we enter a battle raging in a sandstorm from a building of sorts. Most likely, we will look at the planet Tatooine, where the story of Anakin Skywalker and his son Luke began. The game will probably want to make a living on one of the other upcoming media projects from the Star Wars world, so the blue lightsaber can easily belong to Obi-Wan Kenobi, who should probably get his own series on the Disney+ streaming service next year.

Interestingly, the game was revealed at a special Nintendo Direct event, where the Japanese manufacturer presents games headed for its Switch hybrid console. Star Wars: Hunters will therefore be primarily aimed at this platform. We could thus expect to experience a more complex game than we are otherwise used to on mobile phones. Star Wars: Hunters have on Android to arrive sometime this year.
