Huawei's new teaser for its next foldable Mate X2 smartphone has confirmed what has been speculated for some time - the device will fold inwards. It's a major design change since its predecessor folded outwards.

So the Mate X2 will fold in the same way as Samsung's range of flexible phones Galaxy From the Fold. The new teaser is accompanied by Albert Einstein's famous quote “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited, while imagination embraces the whole world”.

According to unofficial reports, the internal display of the phone will have a diagonal of 8,01 inches, a resolution of 2222 x 2480 px and support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and an external screen with a diagonal of 6,45 inches and a resolution of 1160 x 2270 (for comparison - on Samsung's next foldable smartphone Galaxy From Fold 3 it should be 7,55 and 6,21 inches).

It is said that the device will also receive a top Kirin 9000 chipset, 12 GB of operating memory and 512 GB of internal memory, a quad camera with a resolution of 50, 16, 12 and 8 MPx, a battery with a capacity of 4400 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 66 W, and software should have run on Androidwith 10 and the EMUI 11 user interface.

The phone will be launched on February 22nd in China and is likely to hit the market there the following month. The global launch has not yet been confirmed.
