While Samsung is busy releasing an update with the One UI 3.x user interface, Google released the first developer beta to the world Androidu 12. In addition to improved notifications and a media player widget, the ability to change the size of the window within the picture-in-picture function with a pinch-to-zoom gesture, notifications when an application uses the microphone or camera, or easier sharing of Wi-Fi passwords, new version Androidu also includes a design inspired by the One UI superstructure.

The new design, according to XDA Developers Editor-in-Chief Mishaal Rahman, moves interface elements closer to the user's thumbs, but it needs to be activated with an ADB shell command (Android Debug Bridge). When activated, the font size of the app's header will increase and a blank white space will appear near the top of the screen, making it easier to access the interface elements at the top. As a Samsung extension, the design is responsive, meaning that the font size of the app's header will return to normal as soon as the user scrolls down the screen.

Google in the past into developer betas Androidu added various features only to remove them before the release of the sharp version. The new one-handed control mode is not in the first developer preview Androidavailable by default in 12, which means it may or may not appear in the final version. The American tech giant should introduce this in August or September (even before that, after the release of other developer betas, it should launch a public beta in May).
