Samsung previously provided two generation upgrades for its devices to the new version Androidua security updates for three years (monthly or quarterly). It is now extending support for security patches for another year.

The change does not only apply to new devices. According to Samsung, it applies to all smartphones of the series Galaxy Z, Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, Galaxy A, Galaxy M, Galaxy XCover and the tablets it has released to the world since 2019. At the moment, there are approximately 130 devices. The phone released less than a month ago is still missing from the list Galaxy A02 (albeit about to Galaxy A02s here it is) and also representatives of the M series launched on the market a few weeks ago Galaxy M02 a Galaxy M02s. At the moment, it is not clear if the technology giant forgot about them in the list, or if they will not be supported as exceptions to their ranks.
