At the beginning of this year at the CES fair, Samsung presented Galaxy Chromebook 2. The latest Chrome OS laptop is now available in the US through Best Buy and the South Korean tech giant's website.

Compared to last year's predecessor, which cost a thousand dollars when it was launched, it is Galaxy Chromebook 2 significantly cheaper - the version with a Celeron processor will cost $550 (12 crowns) and the version with a Core i3 processor will cost $700 (roughly 15 crowns). The device is offered in two colors - red and gray.

Galaxy Chromebook 2 is the world's first Chromebook with a QLED display. It has a diagonal of 13,3 inches, Full HD resolution, is touch-sensitive and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The machine is powered by either an Intel Celeron 5205U processor, complemented by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, or a more powerful Intel Core i3 10110U with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

The equipment includes a webcam with 720p resolution, 5W stereo speakers and a Smart AMP amplifier, which according to the manufacturer are 178% louder than the speakers in the first Galaxy Chromebook, microSD card slot, two USB-C ports and a 3,5mm jack.

The battery with a capacity of 45,5 Wh promises a battery life of 13 hours per charge (this is probably the biggest improvement compared to its predecessor, because the "number one" lasted only about 4-6 hours per charge). Let's also add that the device is a convertible laptop, which means it has a 360° swivel joint.
