Ross Young, founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch and a reliable leaker in the display field, has released an exclusive informace about Xiaomi's first flexible phone. According to him, the Chinese smartphone giant could introduce it as part of the Mi Mix series under the name Mi Mix 4 Pro Max.

Young also said that the display supplier for the Mi Mix 4 Pro Max is China Star Optoelectronics Technology, a subsidiary of TCL. According to Ross, the smartphone will open outwards, suggesting a similarity to the first-generation Huawei Mate Xs flexible phone. He added that the screen of the device will have a diagonal of 6,38 inches when folded.

In late February, reports hit the airwaves that Samsung would provide the screens for Xiaomi's first foldable smartphone. Ross confirmed that Samsung Display will indeed supply flexible displays to the third largest smartphone manufacturer currently, but later for another smartphone. In this context, let's mention that according to some unofficial information, Xiaomi is going to introduce exactly three flexible phones this year.

This year should indeed be rich in foldable smartphones. Not only Samsung is preparing them (it should specifically introduce them to the scene Galaxy From Fold 3 a Galaxy From Flip 3), but also Oppo, Vivo or Google.
