Yesterday we wrote about adventure game Mitoza, which already looked like a surreal nightmare from the trailer. Publishers from Rusty Lake took the game under their wing, and it's no wonder. In addition to publishing games, Rusty Lake also works on their development. Their first hit was the Cube Escape series of escape adventures. Some time ago, the studio collected them on computers into one clear collection, and next week we will also see them on phones with Androidem.
The upcoming Cube Escape Collection will thus offer us all nine adventures of detective Dale Vandermeer published so far in one package. He investigates a mysterious death and suddenly finds himself in the middle of the mysterious world around Rusty Lake. So far, Dale has solved the mystery in games with the subtitles Seasons, The Lake, Arles, Harvey's Box, Case 23, The Mill, Birthday, Theater and The Cave.
In the games themselves, you solve traditional "escape" puzzles. You find yourself in a series of different rooms from which you have to use your wits to find a way out. Just like yesterday Mitosis these games also have their origins linked to Flash technology. Due to the end of its support, they travel to other platforms in a clear package. The developers cite the Twin Peaks series as one of their inspirations. So if you like similar series or movies, don't hesitate. The Cube Escape Collection is released for free on Thursday, March 11.
