Samsung has launched its latest rugged phone Galaxy Xcover 5. And its specifications match exactly what various leaks revealed about it in the past days and weeks. The novelty will be available at the end of March in Europe, Asia and South America, and later it should also arrive in other markets.

Galaxy Xcover 5 got a TFT display with a diagonal of 5,3 inches and HD+ resolution. It is powered by the Exynos 850 chipset, which is complemented by 4 GB of operating system and 64 GB of internal memory. The camera has a resolution of 16 MPx and lens aperture of f/1.8, the selfie camera has a resolution of 5 MPx and lens aperture of f/2.2. The camera supports Live Focus, which allows you to adjust the level of blur in the background to make the desired subject stand out in the photo, and Samsung Knox Capture, which is a scanning function for the enterprise sphere.

The phone is also equipped with one programmable button, an LED flashlight, an NFC chip and a push-to-talk function. The components are housed in a body that meets IP68 certification and MIL-STD810H military standard. Thanks to the second mentioned standard, the device should survive a fall from a height of up to 1,5 m.

The novelty is software-based Androidon 11 and the One UI 2.0 user interface, the removable battery has a capacity of 3000 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 15 W.

Samsung did not reveal how much the smartphone will cost, but previous leaks mentioned 289-299 euros (approximately 7600-7800 CZK).
