Samsung and Mastercard yesterday announced a new strategic partnership aimed at developing the Samsung payment card Card with a built-in fingerprint sensor. Apparently, the Master "payment" will be similarcard Biometric Payment Card, which the American card giant released a few years ago.

However, Samsung's biometric card will be fitted with a new chip manufactured by its division (or rather Samsung Electronics) System LSI Business and will be compatible with all points of sale (POS - Point of Sale) or Master chip terminalscard.

It is unclear at this time if Samsung Card will be compatible with Samsung Pay mobile payment service.

We should learn more about the card in the coming months, but in terms of its availability, Samsung has already confirmed that it will debut in South Korea later this year, with a "roll out" in the enterprise realm first. However, he did not mention other markets, so it is possible that it will be a purely domestic matter.

According to the Vice President of Project Planning and Communications at Samsung Card Hanjoo Yoona is "biometric card exemplifies Samsung's efforts to come up with innovative and practical solutions for consumers". It uses the company's know-how and fraud detection systems to provide a secure and powerful solution.
