Samsung sold more than 30 million tablets last year – thanks mainly to the boom in working from home and distance learning in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Some of the best-selling tablets were models Galaxy Tab A7 and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Recently, it has been speculated that the tech giant is working on a lightweight version of the first mentioned tablet with the name Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. Now, its existence has been confirmed by the Bluetooth SIG, which suggests that it could be on the scene before too long.

In addition, the Bluetooth SIG certification document confirmed that Galaxy The Tab A7 Lite will support the Bluetooth 5 LE standard.

According to previous leaks and certifications, the budget tablet will get an 8,7-inch display, a slim metal design, a Helio P22T chipset, 3 GB of memory, a USB-C port, a 3,5 mm jack and a battery with a capacity of 5100 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 15 W.

"Behind the Scenes" informace recently there are also rumors that Samsung is working on another lightweight tablet – Galaxy Tab S7 Lite. It should have an LTPS TFT screen with a QHD resolution (1600 x 2560 px), a mid-range Snapdragon 750G chipset, 4 GB of RAM and will probably run on Androidu 11. It should be available in sizes 11 and 12,4 inches and variants with Wi-Fi, LTE and 5G. Both tablets will reportedly be launched in June.
