The first Huawei devices to have HarmonyOS 2.0 pre-installed (and therefore not receive it via an update) will be the upcoming flagship P50 series phones. The information came from a now-deleted post on the Chinese social network Weibo.

As for the existing devices of the Chinese smartphone giant, the process of mass migration to HarmonyOS 2.0 should begin in April, with flagship models receiving the first update with the system. Huawei expects its system to run on 300-400 million devices by the end of this year, including smart watches, TVs, and IoT devices in addition to smartphones.

As for the P50 series, it should consist of a total of three models – P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro+. The basic model will reportedly have a 6,1 or 6,2-inch display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a Kirin 9000E chipset and a battery with a capacity of 4200 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 66 W. The Pro model should get a screen with a diagonal 6,6 inches and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a Kirin 9000 chipset and a 4500mAh battery, and the Pro+ model has a 6,8-inch screen and the same refresh rate, chipset and battery capacity as the standard Pro. All models should then have a new photo sensor and use the EMU 11.1 superstructure.

According to unofficial reports, the new series will be released between 26-28 in March.
