Qualcomm has already launched its flagship chip for this year Snapdragon 888 and according to unofficial reports, it should introduce a new mid-range Snapdragon 775 chipset, the successor to the Snapdragon 765, by the end of the month. Now some of its alleged specifications have leaked into the air.

However, the leak is silent on the most important thing – the arrangement of processor cores and their frequency. All it mentions is that the Snapdragon 775 will be equipped with Kryo 6xx cores, but that could mean anything.

Like the Snapdragon 888, the chipset should be built on a 5nm process, support LPDDR5 memories with a speed of 3200 MHz and LPDDR4X with a speed of 2400 MHz and UFS 3.1 storage.

The leak also talks about the Spectra 570 image processor, which supports 4K video recording at 60 fps, three simultaneously working sensors with a resolution of 28 MPx or two sensors with a resolution of 64 and 20 MPx.

In terms of connectivity, the chipset is said to support dual 5G and millimeter waves, VoNR (Voice over 5G New Radio) function, Wi-Fi 6E standard with 2×2 MIMO technology and NR CA, SA, NSA and Bluetooth 5.2 standards. It includes the WCD9380/WCD9385 audio chip.

The chipset's performance was previously measured in the AnTuTu benchmark, where it was 65% faster than the Snapdragon 765 (and only about 12% slower than last year's flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chip).

At this time, it is not known which device will use the Snapdragon 775 (not necessarily the official name) first.
