Samsung series phones Galaxy Thanks to the combination of excellent specifications and relatively low prices, M have been a big hit in markets like India for quite some time. However, no model of the roughly two-year-old line has yet offered 5G support. But that should change now, as according to Wi-Fi Alliance certification, the tech giant is working on a device with the model number SM-M426B, which should be the 5G version of the phone Galaxy M42.

The certification documents also revealed that the smartphone will be software-based Androidu 11. However, it is probably not a completely new phone - according to the Bluetooth certification, it is just a rebranded Galaxy A42 5G. This means that the "new" specifications will be somewhat more modest than those that customers from the series models Galaxy M expect.

Galaxy For example, the A42 got a 6,6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging, while all smartphones in the same price range have Galaxy M displays with FHD+ resolution, batteries with a capacity of 6000 or 7000 mAh and at least two support fast charging with a power of 25 W.

Since minimal information is known about the phone at this point, it's hard to say if it will actually end up being rebranded Galaxy A42 5G, or something completely different. It follows that it is not even known when it could be put on stage.
