The latest recipient of the update with Androidem 11 and the One UI 3.1 superstructure is the phone Galaxy A42 5G. It's a little surprising that it started getting it so soon, since it's only a few months old and hasn't even been released to all of its planned markets yet.

The new update has firmware version A426BXXU1BUB7 and is currently distributed in the Netherlands. Like previous updates of this kind, this one should spread to other corners of the world in the coming days. It includes the March security patch.

Just like almost every device today Galaxy, which until recently ran on the One UI 2.5 superstructure, i Galaxy The A42 5G skips version 3.0 and gets straight version 3.1.

An update to the phone brings features Androidu 11 like chat bubbles, one-time permissions, a separate widget for media playback or a conversation section in the notification panel. The news of the One UI 3.1 superstructure includes, among other things, improved native applications, better options for customizing icons, some simplified and clearer menus, better autofocus control or the ability to enrich video calls with various video effects. However, more advanced features such as wireless DeX, the Director's View photo mode, the Google Discover Feed service or the file sharing app Private Share may be missing from the update.

Of course, the latest version also includes One UI 3.0 features such as improved widgets on the lock screen and always-on display, better keyboard settings, better parental control options, the ability to add your own pictures or videos to the call screen, and improved image stabilization for the camera.
