According to recent unofficial reports, Qualcomm is working on a new mid-range chipset with the model designation SM7350, which it could introduce under the name Snapdragon 775. Now they have penetrated the ether informace, that the company is preparing a chip for ARM notebooks, which should be built on the new chipset for smartphones.

The new chip for ARM laptops should bear the model designation SC7295 and be the successor to last year's Snapdragon 7c chip. It should be a solution for devices running on systems Windows and ChromeOS and have the advantage of an integrated 5G modem.

The chip should use the well-known 1+3+4 arrangement of processor cores. The main core will reportedly "tick" at a frequency of up to 2,7 GHz, while the three other large cores at a frequency of up to 2,4 GHz. Economical cores should then run at 1,8 GHz. It is not known at the moment what GPU the chipset will have. It will likely be manufactured using a 5nm process, which should allow laptop manufacturers to emphasize all-day battery life.

In addition, it is said to support LPDDR5 memory (with a frequency of 3200 MHz) and older LPDDR4X memory (with a frequency of 2400 MHz). The storage should be UFS 3.1 Gear 4 type.

At this point, it's unclear when the SC7295 might be introduced, or which ARM notebooks might be the first to use it. In this context, let us remind you that the chipset for ARM laptops (more precisely, your own) apparently, Samsung is also preparing.
