Remember Samsung's alleged 200MP photo sensor that was rumored earlier this year? So he has now appeared in short video teaser. However, it's not a "real thing" yet, the company just wanted to remind you what its high-end chipset is capable of in terms of camera.

It is probably no coincidence that Samsung released the teaser video at a time when the new flagship series of OnePlus called OnePlus 9 was launched, which in the field of camera attracts cooperation with the famous photography company Hasselblad.

Let us remind you that 200 MPx is the highest resolution of a single camera supported by high-end chipsets Snapdragon 888 a Exynos 2100 and that currently smartphones use sensors with a maximum resolution of 108 MPx. The first photo sensor with a resolution of 108 MPx - ISOCELL Bright HMX - was introduced in 2019 and was a collaboration between Samsung and Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro smartphones were the first to use it.

In addition to the fact that Samsung is said to be working on a 200MPx sensor, it is also said to be developing a 150MPx sensor, which according to "behind the scenes" reports will be much larger than the mentioned ISOCELL Bright HMX (reportedly measuring 1 inch, i.e. 2,54 cm) and which should achieve even better results in lower light conditions. We are curious how the 200MPx sensor will differ from it.
