The update carries firmware version G99xxXXU2AUC8 and is just over 1GB in size. It includes the April security patch. The update brings one major change – while the use of portrait mode was previously limited to a camera with a telephoto lens or an ultra-wide-angle sensor, now the main camera can also be used to take portrait shots. Overall camera performance has also been improved, but Samsung isn't giving details. If you are a user Galaxy S21, S21+ or S21 Ultra, you may have already received a notification that a new update is available. If you haven't received them yet, you can, as always, check for the update manually by opening the menu Settings, by tapping the option Software update and selecting an option Download and install.
