A few days ago we reported that Samsung is apparently working on a new variant of the popular "budget flagship" Galaxy The S20 FE, which should be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chip and which should not support 5G networks. According to the latest unofficial information, this variant will replace the version with the Exynos 990 chipset. Now its render has leaked into the air.

If you expect any surprises, we will disappoint you. The new version (with model designation SM-G780G) looks exactly the same as the one with Exynos 990. The phone also appeared in the WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) database, which revealed that it will support the Qi wireless charging standard with a power of 4,4W. It was she who "leaked" the rendering in question. Samsung could launch the new variant in markets where it currently sells the Exynos 990 version. However, it may or may not launch it where it is already sold Galaxy S20 FE 5G. If the new version gets a reasonable price tag, it could “flood” brands like Xiaomi and OnePlus and their affordable high-end smartphones.

Apart from the chipset, the new variant should not differ from the Exynos 990 version. So let's expect a Super AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6,5 inches, a resolution of 1080 x 2400 px and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a triple camera with a resolution of 12, 12 MPx and 8 MPx, a fingerprint reader integrated into the display, stereo speakers, IP68 certification for water resistance and dust resistance and a 4500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. It is not known at this time when it could be introduced.
