Samsung launched a smart pendant Galaxy SmartTag+. It has Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and ultrawideband (UWB) technology, so it enables more accurate localization than previous models. It also uses augmented reality technology, with which it can very easily guide the user to the lost object using the smartphone camera. Pendant Galaxy SmartTag+ will be available in the Czech Republic from April 30, in blue and black. The recommended price is CZK 1.
Galaxy SmartTag+ is the latest addition to Samsung's range of smart tags Galaxy SmartTag. It can be attached to any object, such as a backpack or keys, and then reliably and easily found using the SmartThings Find service on a mobile device Galaxy.

To equipment Galaxy SmartTag+ includes both Bluetooth in the BLE version and ultrawideband (UWB) technology. Thanks to it, it is also possible to use the augmented reality system to search for a lost object. For this, the AR Finder function is used, which easily guides the user to the desired item on the display of a phone with UWB support (e.g. Galaxy S21+ or S21 Ultra). The display will show the distance from the searched object and an arrow in the direction in which you should search. In addition, when you get close enough to the object, the pendant can ring loudly, so you can find the object, even if it is buried under the couch.
The advantages of the new pendant perfectly complement the capabilities of the SmartThings Find application - the lost object can be located on the map even if it is located far away from you. Thanks to Bluetooth LE, the pendant can connect to any device belonging to the ecosystem Galaxy, and owners of other devices of this series can help you with your search. When you report a lost tag in the app, the device can locate it Galaxy, which have SmartThings turned on, and you will receive a notification of its location. Of course, all data is encrypted and protected, so only you will know the location of the pendant.
