The top model of the iPhone 12 – iPhone 12 Pro Max – was Apple's first smartphone with image stabilization technology using a sliding sensor. This technology stabilizes the camera's sensor instead of the lens, resulting in more accurate image stabilization and improved image quality. Now it has hit the airwaves informace, that Samsung wants to implement the technology in its phones.

Optical image stabilization has long been present on Samsung smartphones. Not only flagships have the feature, but also some mid-range models such as Galaxy A52. However, only the lens is stabilized in this case. Moving sensor image stabilization technology takes a different approach – what moves to compensate for vibration is not the camera's lens, but its sensor. The result is better stabilization and improved image quality. According to a usually well-informed website Galaxy Club Samsung has been testing a phone with this technology for some time.

However, we may not see this photo technology until next year - because Samsung usually introduces new photo technologies together with new flagships of the series Galaxy S. She appeared on the air last week informace, that Samsung will be on flagship smartphone cameras cooperate with Olympus. So could the work on this technology be related to the partnership with the legendary photography brand? It's not at all out of the question, especially considering that Olympus has a lot of experience with sliding sensor camera development.
