Google has been making some changes to its smart TV lineup since it launched the new Google TV app last year. Now, the company has announced that the Google Play Movies & TV app on various smart TV platforms, including Samsung's Tizen platform, will soon end. But users don't have to worry, as they'll be able to access the movies and TV shows they've purchased from Google through another (and much more familiar) app.

The Google Play Movies & TV app will be removed from Tizen, webOS (that's LG's platform), Roku and Vizio smart platforms on June 15 this year. However, users will still be able to access their purchased or rented movies and TV shows through the YouTube app. More precisely, they get to them by opening the "Library" tab and selecting the "My movies and shows" option. The change is related to the fact that the American technology giant has recently started to "stuff" a combination of YouTube, YouTube Music and YouTube TV applications for smart TV users. While Google Play Movies & TV isn't ending yet, it will eventually be replaced by the Google TV app.
