Jubilee thousand AlzaBox the company installed in Prague's Strašnice last week. Alza was among the first to start building a network of its own delivery boxes on the Czech market. It significantly increased their number last year, when it added more than 600. The e-shop now operates the most robust network of delivery boxes in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which it has opened to all carriers and merchants.

Jubilee thousand AlzaBox installed the e-shop last week in Strašnice and is launching it online today. During the first week of operation, in addition to their orders, customers will be treated to a celebration in the form of AlzaCafé coffee packaging.

"Just like in the fairy tale, we set a goal of one thousand and one boxes. But we certainly do not stop at this number, quite the contrary. Our next goal is to have three thousand of them in operation by mid-2022," Jan Moudřík, director of expansion and facilities, highlights other plans. "However, we are not building such a robust platform just for ourselves, our goal is to create a smart solution that any carrier or merchant can easily connect to. That's why we, as the only ones on the market, have already opened our network to external partners and are negotiating with others."

The very first AlzaBox He launched the e-shop in 2014. "In those eight years, we have unique experience and a clear idea of ​​what such massive growth entails. The installation of three thousand boxes alone requires 15 thousand hours of work by technicians, and another tens of thousands of hours will be spent searching for suitable places to place them," Moudřík summarized.

By opening its network to all interested carriers and merchants, the company brings delivery services even to places where there is insufficient infrastructure for other delivery methods. The boxes have proven themselves very well since the beginning of the pandemic as a contactless and therefore the safest option for picking up ordered goods. Interest in this type of delivery has doubled during the pandemic, and customers receive every third package this way. As the majority is AlzaBoxes available twenty-four hours a day, they are not limited by opening hours and can pick up their goods at any time. AlzaBox in addition, anyone can use it and it doesn't even need a smartphone. All you have to do is enter the numeric code on the display and the box hiding the order will then open. It does not even have to be paid in advance, it can be paid on the spot with a credit card.

The dispensing boxes are protected by a multi-level security system, from non-stop surveillance of the camera system, through connection to security software, to custom-designed locks. The company thus has continuous control over the delivered goods and can react in real time to any attempted security incident.
