Speculation has been rife in the airwaves over the past few months about Samsung's next smartwatch Galaxy Watch 4 will software drive the system WearOS instead of the traditional proprietary Tizen. Now, SamMobile has obtained exclusive information that confirms that this will indeed be the case, as well as revealing some new information about the watch informace.

According to the website, Samsung may be preparing up to three versions Galaxy Watch 4. One should have more classic design elements not unlike those of a regular elegant watch. The other two, which will reportedly include the Active model, should have a sporty design. The mentioned models are said to be developed under the code names Wise, Fresh and Lucky. Wise is expected to feature classic design elements with a rotating bezel, while Fresh and Lucky are expected to represent Samsung's sporty models for this year.

In this year's models, Samsung will not use its Tizen operating system and will replace it with the system WearOS by Google. However, it is supposed to be supplemented with the One UI user interface, which is said to be a completely new version adapted to wearable devices. It should include new features of the SmartThings platform, such as the ability to turn the watch into a walkie-talkie, which will allow users to send short voice messages to friends.
