According to the latest reports, Samsung and LG have started the production of OLED panels for iPhone 13. Compared to last year's iPhone 12, they did so a month earlier, which was made possible by the improving situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic. iPhone 13 should therefore arrive on time, i.e. in the usual September.

According to previous reports, Samsung's division is planning the Samsung Display pro iPhone 13 to produce 80 million OLED displays with LTPO technology, while LG is expected to produce 30 million OLED panels using LTPS technology. Samsung Display is to supply the above-mentioned amount of displays specifically for the two highest models of the iPhone 13 – iPhone 13 For a iPhone 13 Pro Max, LG then for cheaper iPhone 13 mini and standard iPhone 13.

A smaller number of OLED displays – around 9 million – should be supplied by the Chinese company BOE for this year's iPhones, but these screens are said to be used only for replacement and maintenance purposes.
