Samsung announced earlier this year that its next high-end Exynos chipset will feature a graphics chip from AMD. However, he did not give any time frame or details. AMD has now revealed some of these details at Computex 2021.

At this year's Computex computer fair, AMD boss Lisa Su officially confirmed that the next flagship Exynos will include a graphics chip with the RDNA2 architecture. Making its way to mobile devices for the first time, the new GPU will boast advanced features such as ray tracing and variable shading speed. RNDA2 is AMD's latest graphics architecture and is used in, for example, Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards or PS5 and Xbox Series X/S console GPUs. Exynos chipsets have been criticized in the past for weaker graphics chip performance and performance throttling.
