Samsung's UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) technology has been instrumental in making the Korean tech giant's flexible phones far more durable than they would be without it, and it's possible that they wouldn't have existed without it. Now it has penetrated the ether informace, that Google's first "puzzle" could also use it.

Samsung Display, which manufactures UTG technology, currently has only one client for it, which is Samsung's most important division, Samsung Electronics. It remains the biggest player in the flexible phone market, however, other manufacturers are expected to respond to its upcoming foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 they come with their own "benders". With that in mind, Samsung Display is now reportedly trying to secure more clients for UTG technology.

According to Korean website ETNews, Google will be the first "foreign" company to use UTG technology in its flexible phone. Samsung should also supply him with its OLED panels for his foldable device.

Virtually nothing is known about Google's flexible phone at the moment. It is speculated that it will feature a 7,6-inch display and that it will be launched in the last quarter of this year.
