Although Samsung is the world's largest manufacturer of smartphones, televisions and memory chips, its Samsung Networks division, engaged in the production of telecommunications equipment, looks at its biggest competitors from afar. It currently ranks fifth behind Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia and ZTE. The Korean technology giant is trying to expand its business with end-to-end 5G network solutions and take advantage of the fact that some Western countries have "checked off" Huawei's entry into 5G networks.

The Samsung Networks division is now hoping to win more orders from European network operators as they expand their 5G networks. The company is currently working with telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom in the Czech Republic, Play Communications in Poland and another major European network operator to test 5G networks. The division has already closed billion-dollar "deals" with telecom giants NTT Docomo in Japan and Verizon in the US.

In addition to the European and North American markets, Samsung's network division is expanding in markets such as Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. It launched its first 5G network in 2019 and saw a 35% increase in the number of clients year-on-year. He has also been researching 6G networks for some time.
