Samsung should in August along with new flexible phones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 and smartwatches Galaxy Watch 4 to Watch Active 4 will also introduce new fully wireless headphones, which are supposed to be successors Galaxy Buds+. Now the Indonesian Telecommunications Authority has confirmed that they will be called Galaxy Buds 2 as previously speculated, with their model designation being SM-R177.

The Authority does not provide any specifications in its documents Galaxy Buds 2, according to unofficial reports, however, will get a similar design to the wine Galaxy Buds+, Bluetooth 5.0 LE with AAC audio codec support, water and sweat resistance according to IP standard, infrared sensor to detect wearing, two microphones (internal and external), support for connecting multiple devices (this function should be compatible with devices of other brands than Samsung) and vs Galaxy Buds+ are said to offer better sound quality and noise isolation.
Each earphone should have a 60mAh battery and the charging case a 500mAh battery, so the battery life may not be as good as the Galaxy Buds+, which had a bigger battery.
Headphones Galaxy Buds 2 should be available in at least four colors – black, white, purple and green, and will reportedly be sold for less than $100 (roughly CZK 2).
