Samsung originally planned that its new "budget flagship" Galaxy The S21 FE will be introduced alongside the next foldable smartphones Galaxy From Fold 3 and Flip 3 in August. According to recent leaks, however, he postponed its launch to the last quarter of this year. Now word has hit the airwaves that it may not be available in some markets.

According to a report by Korean site FNNews, cited by SamMobile, Samsung is considering Galaxy The S21 FE will be launched in October, with availability likely to be limited to Europe and the US. This means that the phone may not look to Asia (including South Korea), Africa, Australia, Canada and South America. According to the website, the reason for the limited availability is the global chip crisis, which is apparently also behind the delayed launch of the smartphone.

Galaxy The S21 FE is expected to use the 5nm Snapdragon 888 chipset, and the Korean tech giant is reportedly unable to secure enough chips to launch the phone in all markets around the world. The shortage of chips is said to be so severe that Samsung may ship fewer units to Europe and the US Galaxy S21 FE than originally planned.

The new "budget flagship" should get a 6,5-inch Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory, a triple camera with three times the resolution 12 MPx, 32 MPx front camera, fingerprint reader integrated into the display, stereo speakers, degree of resistance IP67 or IP68, support for 5G networks and a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh and support for 25W wired, 15W wireless and 4,5W reverse wireless charging.
