A few months ago, there were reports in the air that Samsung was working on a 200 MPx ISOCELL photo sensor. According to the latest leak, Xiaomi's next high-end smartphone could be the first to use it.

According to a well-known Chinese leaker nicknamed Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is working on a high-end phone with a 200MPx sensor. The Chinese smartphone giant was the first to launch a phone (or phones) with a 108MPx Samsung sensor (specifically, the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro). The new sensor is said to feature 16v1 pixel binning technology for converting 200MPx images into images with an effective resolution of 12,5MPx.

The sensor could also offer lossless 1-4x zoom, 4K video recording support at 120 fps or 8K resolution, advanced HDR capabilities, phase detection autofocus, or zero shutter lag.

All we know about Xiaomi's next flagship at the moment is that it should have an extremely curved display. It could be launched sometime in the first half of next year. However, it is possible that it will not be available globally, similar to last year's "experimental" Mi Mix Alpha.
