In the past few days, there have been reports that the highest model of the next flagship series of Samsung Galaxy S22 - S22 Ultra - will receive its upcoming photo sensor with a resolution of 200 MPx. However, according to a new leak published by a respected leaker, Samsung will stick with the 108 MPx resolution.

According to legend among Ice universe leakers, Samsung plans to use an "improved" version of the current 22MPx ISOCELL HM108 sensor in the S3 Ultra that debuted in Galaxy S21Ultra. However, he did not say what exactly he meant by the word "improved". There have also been speculations in recent days that the upcoming Xiaomi flagship will be the first to use the Korean tech giant's 200MPx sensor.

We don't have any other camera specifications of the new Ultra at the moment informace, however, it is very likely that it will have a periscope camera, an ultra-wide-angle sensor and a pair of telephoto lenses as its predecessor. Otherwise, according to "behind the scenes" reports, the S22 Ultra will feature a 6,8-inch or 6,81-inch OLED display with LTPO technology and (like the other models in the series) Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 895 flagship chip, along with Samsung's upcoming top-of-the-line chipset Exynos with GPU from AMD. The new flagship series should be launched early next year.
