If you are the device owner Galaxy running on Androidfor 2.3.7 (Gingerbread) or an even older version, we have good news for you. Google has announced that starting on September 27 this year, it will not be possible to log into a Google account on such devices. This means that affected users will lose access to Google services, including but not limited to Gmail, YouTube or Google Maps.

Android 2.3.7 was released to the world ten years ago and runs on devices like Galaxy S, Galaxy 3, Galaxy 5, Galaxy Epic 4G, Galaxy mini, Galaxy pop, Galaxy M Pro, Galaxy Y For Galaxy With II a Galaxy Tab. The reason for the change is security – on such old devices, Google can no longer provide the necessary level of security.

Since Samsung sold millions of devices before 2012 Galaxy, it's likely that there will be more than just a few users affected by the change. The US tech giant recommends updating the software on such devices (if possible), getting a device with newer software, or using a web browser to access Google services.
