As you know, Samsung, or more precisely its Samsung Display division, is the world's largest manufacturer of small OLED panels. Its displays are used by all smartphone brands including Apple, Google, Oppo, Xiaomi, Oppo and OnePlus. The company has now reportedly developed a new OLED panel for smartphones called the E5 OLED, but it won't debut on the phone Galaxy.

According to unofficial reports, the E5 OLED panel will debut in the iQOO 8 phone (iQOO is a sub-brand of the Chinese company Vivo). The smartphone is said to get a 6,78-inch display with a QHD+ resolution, a pixel density of 517 ppi and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Since it uses LTPO technology, it supports variable refresh rate (from 1-120 Hz). It is a 10-bit panel and can display a billion colors. It is curved on the sides and has a circular hole in the middle for the selfie camera.

Otherwise, the smartphone should have a new Qualcomm chipset Snapdragon 888 +, 12 GB of operating memory, 256 GB of internal memory, fast charging with a power of 120 W and Androidu 11 based on the OriginOS 1.0 superstructure. It will be released on August 17. It's interesting to see Samsung's new OLED panel debut on a device other than a smartphone Galaxy. However, the tech giant did not reveal what improvements it has achieved over the E4 OLED panel.
