Samsung launched a new smart watch Galaxy Watch 4 to Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. For the first time ever, a new operating system is presented in a watch Wear OS Powered by Samsung, developed in collaboration with Google. Another important innovation is the One UI user interface Watch – Samsung has never created a more intuitive system. Watches Galaxy Watch 4 they are also equipped with powerful hardware components and rich connectivity options. The manufacturers have changed the new models from the ground up and offer them top equipment to ensure physical and mental well-being.
To equipment Galaxy Watch 4 includes, among other things, the brand new Samsung BioActive sensor. It belongs to the "3 in 1" category, which means that in a single chip there are three important health sensors for optical and electrical monitoring of heart activity and bioelectrical resistance analysis. Thanks to this, users can measure their blood pressure, detect irregularities in the heart rhythm, monitor the level of oxygen in the blood and, for the first time, also measure the amount of components in the body structure. Thanks to the new Body Composition tool, users can assess their health and physical condition in depth, as the watch will tell them what percentage of their body structure is skeletal muscle, water or fat, or how their basal metabolism works. Just two fingers on the wrist and the sensor records all the necessary data - there are about 2400 of them and the measurement takes about 15 seconds.

Another essential part of the functional equipment consists of fitness and wellness functions that monitor daily activities and thus contribute to good physical condition and motivation to move. The user can choose from a wide range of guided exercises, engage in group challenges with family and friends, or turn the living room into a gym when the watch Galaxy Watch 4 connects to a compatible Samsung Smart TV. Burned calories or current heart rate will then be displayed on the big screen. And when it comes to rest, they can Galaxy Watch 4 measure and evaluate sleep quality with more detailed results than before. The smartphone records snoring during the night, the watch measures the level of oxygen in the blood while you sleep. Combined with the advanced Sleep Scores analytics tool, the system provides valuable informace about the quality of sleep and users can thus plan their rest better.
Smart watch Galaxy are characterized primarily by simplicity and efficiency. And thanks to the new One UI user interface Watch and operating system Wear OS Powered by Samsung will increase significantly. Thanks to the One UI interface Watch compatible applications are automatically installed in the watch when you download them to your phone, and automatic synchronization of important settings (e.g. blocking of unwanted numbers) is a matter of course.
Galaxy Watch 4 is also the first generation watch with a new operating system Wear OS Powered by Samsung. It is a joint venture between Samsung and Google, which means the platform is part of a large ecosystem. It includes popular Google applications such as Google Maps as well as equally popular applications Galaxy, such as SmartThings or Bixby. The platform also supports well-known applications from other manufacturers, such as adidas Running, Calm, Strava or Spotify. Users on the Czech and Slovak markets can now use the option of paying with a watch using the Google Pay service, which will be available from the start of watch sales on August 27.

An advanced user interface and operating system naturally also includes sufficiently powerful hardware equipment - especially an improved processor, a better display and more memory. IN Galaxy Watch 4 for the first time ever in a watch Galaxy we find the new Exynos W5 chipset manufactured by the 920nm process, which is 9110% faster than the previous Exynos 20 chip. Operating and internal memory increased to 1,5 GB, respectively. 16 GB. The graphics unit is 10x faster than the previous generation. The resolution of the display has increased to 450 x 450 px for the larger versions of the watch and to 396 x 396 px for the smaller versions, which means a significantly better quality image. The display is of course Super AMOLED and supports Always-on mode.
Users will also find Samsung's rich experience with eSIM technology useful, thanks to which they can run or go for a bike ride or in nature without a phone - the watch synchronizes automatically.
Of course, a good smart watch also includes a high-quality battery. Galaxy Watch 4 lasts up to 40 hours on a single charge. And if you absolutely need a recharge, after only half an hour in the charger, the watch will have enough energy for another 10 hours of operation.
Smart watch Galaxy Watch 4 to Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will be available in the Czech Republic from August 27. Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in black, green, rose gold or silver, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic in black and silver.
Galaxy Watch 4 in the 40 mm version will cost 6 crowns, the 999 mm variant will cost 44 crowns and the 7 mm version with LTE will cost 599 crowns. Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will be sold in the 42 mm version for 9 crowns, the 499 mm version will cost 46 crowns and the 9 mm version with LTE will cost 999 CZK. A customer who, in the period from 46.-11. August 499 pre-order Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 4 Classic on the site www.samsung.cz or with selected partners, gets the right to a bonus in the form of a dual wireless charger EP-P4300TBEGEU worth 1 crowns.

So the watch disappointed me a lot. Mainly, the dial selection is terribly small. And the environment doesn't look good either. They were in it galaxy watch 3 better and with the round buttons on the side they looked better too
I feel the exact same way. First impressions after swapping GW3 for GW4. The 4% strap on the 46mm version is ridiculous. If it is replaced with, for example, black leather, it looks much better. I'm still waiting for the metal strap, so I'll see when it arrives, but the change in width from the usual 22mm to 20mm is also quite incomprehensible. I can understand it on the smaller version, but somehow I can't understand it on the 46mm. Some of the cartoon watch faces on offer - horrible. One might assume that 46mm will be more for big boys than for kids. It's hard for a grown man to wear a cartoon dial or a dial with a cat... :-/
I already have the 4th generation and I would say that as far as the dials are concerned, it is getting worse and worse. On the Frontiers I had Rolex, Omega and many other dials easily transferable to watches. With each subsequent version it became harder and harder to get some nice watch faces and now u Watch4 seems to be the absolute worst.
The control is also so different, I understand, a different system, so it will take a little patience and getting used to it.
The advantage will be that you can finally pay, but otherwise it is impractical, thanks to the locked system that has to be unlocked many times a day.
Battery seriously weak. Watch3 lasted a week during my use, Watch4 about two, maybe 3 days, but with a lot of chafed ears. In other words, with each new series, the life of the watch continues to decrease. In the next version, if something doesn't change with the stamina, I probably won't go, because it would be almost unusable.
Now just get used to it Watch4, but it's still not working very well 🙂
