Press Release: Alza.cz is the first e-shop in the Czech Republic to deliver orders to vehicle trunks in cooperation with ŠKODA AUTO. Thanks to the MyŠKODA application with the Access to the car function, customers can have their purchases delivered directly to their parked vehicle. The pilot project thus offers another alternative of safe and contactless delivery of parcels, during which customers do not have to wait for a courier at home.

Alza.cz is launching a service in cooperation with ŠKODA AUTO delivery of the order to the car, as the first e-shop in the Czech Republic. After thorough testing, ŠKODA AUTO together with partners Alza.cz, Zásilkovna and DoDo has now made this delivery option available to customers in test mode. The service will enable Alza Expres couriers to deliver the ordered goods at a predetermined time to the specified address directly to the parked vehicle.

"The satisfaction of our customers is our highest priority. That is why I am glad that, as a leading innovator in the field of European e-commerce, we were able to offer them this secure contactless service among the first partners in the Czech Republic. Our IT and logistics teams participated in the implementation of the project from its initial conception. Thanks to this, the service is fully integrated into our ecosystem and is just as accessible to customers who own a technically suitable car as regular delivery to AlzaBox," said Tomáš Havryluk, vice chairman of the Alza.cz board of directors.

Martin Jahn, member of the board of directors for sales and marketing, described the advantages of the new procedure: "Thanks to the Access to the car solution, the ŠKODA car provides its owner with quality service even when it is only parked and under normal circumstances would not provide its owner with any added utility value. With this service, we expand our range of mobility solutions and offer customers time savings, convenience and make their everyday life easier in many ways. For example, we will enable them to take advantage of the delivery of packages while they are working, eliminating the time they would otherwise spend waiting for a courier. Only the courier of the chosen delivery service has access to the required data about the vehicle, and the delivery of the parcel is also contactless, which is undoubtedly an indisputable advantage these days."

Service Delivery to my car can be used by registered Alza.cz customers who own a ŠKODA car manufactured in 2019 or later, with the exception of ENYAQ iV, KAMIQ and SCALA cars, for which the service will be made available later. You need to have an activated package in the MyŠKODA application Care Connect and the Remote Unlock/Lock function.

After connecting to the customer account on Alza.cz, when ordering via the website or mobile application, it is enough to check the option "deliver to my car" in the basket and choose the day, time and approximate address where the vehicle will be parked. A specific AlzaExpress courier can then unlock the relevant vehicle only once at a given time to deliver the shipment.

Delivery to the car is possible in locations served by the e-shop's own transport by AlzaExpres transport (in Prague and the surrounding area). The vehicle must be parked in a publicly accessible location and not hidden from a mobile signal (for example, in an underground garage) in order to be unlocked. In this way, Alza does not allow delivery of only excessive goods. However, the customer should always consider how full the trunk of their vehicle is and whether the order will fit in it.

The price for one delivery is 149 crowns. In test mode, customers can try the first delivery for free for a limited time.
