Samsung has started selling watches in the Czech Republic Galaxy Watch 4 to Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, the first watch models that support payment via the Google Pay platform. Owners of the new smart watch from Samsung can leave their wallet, card and mobile phone at home and still pay contactless.
Contactless payments via the Google Pay service are enabled by the watch's new operating system Wear OS Powered by Samsung, which was created in collaboration between Samsung and Google. Platform Wear The OS is part of a large ecosystem and supports both services Galaxy (SmartThings or Bixby) and well-known third-party applications (Adidas Running, Calm, Strava or Spotify), and of course Google services (such as the Google Maps application or Google Pay).

It is Google Pay that is a long-awaited innovation in smart watches, which drastically increases the payment comfort and flexibility of their users. At the same time, the Czech Republic has long been at the top of Europe in the use of contactless payments. This was confirmed, for example, by the Master company's statisticscardz of 2018, according to which 9 out of 10 Czechs pay contactless. According to a survey by the Czech Banking Association from 2020, this trend was further supported by the coronavirus pandemic. At that time, even those who avoided it for some reason started using contactless payment.
Smart watch Galaxy Watch 4 are available from us in black, green, rose-gold or silver, model Watch 4 Classic in black and silver. Galaxy Watch 4 are sold in the 40 mm size for CZK 6, in the 999 mm size for CZK 44, and the 7 mm version with LTE costs CZK 599. 44mm variant Galaxy Watch 4 Classic costs 9 crowns, the 499mm variant costs 46 crowns and the 9mm variant with LTE is sold for 999 crowns.
