Samsung continues to roll out the August security patch to more devices. One of its latest recipients is the commercial bestseller of 2019, the mid-range smartphone Galaxy A50.

New update for Galaxy The A50 carries firmware version A505GUBS9CUH1 and is currently distributed in some South American countries. It should spread to other corners of the world in the coming days.

The August security patch fixes nearly four dozen exploits, two of which have been marked as critical and 23 as highly dangerous. These vulnerabilities were found in the system Android, so they were fixed by Google itself. In addition, the patch contains fixes for two vulnerabilities discovered in smartphones Galaxy, which was fixed by Samsung. One of them was marked as highly dangerous and related to the reuse of the initialization vector, the other was, according to Samsung, low-risk and related to the UAF (Use After Free) memory exploit in the conn_gadget driver.

Galaxy The A50 was launched in March 2019 with Androidem 9. A year later he received an update with Androidem 10 and the One UI 2.0 superstructure and this March Android 11 with One UI 3.1. The phone seems to be another upgrade Androidu won't get, and as far as security updates go, it will likely be included in the quarterly update schedule soon.
