Samsung, when presenting its new "puzzle" Galaxy From Fold 3 among other things, he boasted of its high resistance. The phone has a 10% stronger Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass, a new protective layer of the flexible display offers 80% more resistance, and there is also water resistance according to the IPX8 standard. This all sounds very promising, but how does the device perform in terms of durability in practice? The American insurance company Allstate tried it and its conclusions are very positive.

According to Allstate, the third-generation Fold is currently the most durable mobile device. The phone (in the open state) withstood two drops on hard concrete from a height of 1,8 meters without any major problems (suffering only a few scratches and minor damage to the display, more precisely the pixels) and survived underwater at a depth of 1,5 m for 30 minutes, thus proving the truth of Samsung's claims about its waterproofness.

In the third test, a drop from a height of 1,8 m in the closed state, the Fold 3 did not do so well (the external display shattered like a normal phone screen would shatter), but these results are overall very positive.

The third Fold also recently underwent a "torture" test, which showed, among other things, that its external display can survive a coin or key scratch without much damage.
