Samsung launched its first monitor with a built-in webcam. It's called the Webcam Monitor S4 and it's specifically designed to meet the needs of workers who are working from home due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Webcam Monitor S4 has a 24-inch IPS LCD display, Full HD resolution, aspect ratio 16:9, refresh rate 75 Hz, maximum brightness 250 nits, contrast ratio 1000:1 and viewing angles up to 178°. It has a retractable 2MPx web camera with an IR camera for authentication Windows Hello, which is accompanied by built-in microphones and stereo speakers with a power of 2 W.

The new monitor has a height-adjustable stand that supports tilting and swiveling. It is also possible to mount it on the wall (VESA standard 100 x 100 mm). As for the port equipment, the Webcam Monitor S4 has two USB-A 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a DisplayPort, a D-Sub connector and a 3,5mm jack. Samsung says the monitor is TÜV Rheinland certified for blue light reduction and flicker-free picture quality.

The Webcam Monitor S4 will soon be available in Europe, Southeast Asia, South Korea and the US. In South Korea, it will cost 380 won (less than 7 crowns).
